If you love great poetry, this is the book for you. The Sun Burned Bright and Hot is a wonderful mixture of funny and serious poems, essays, prayers and short story.
The humorous ones include “ My Wife Is a Cheese”, “Death By Salad” and “Cat Got Your Tongue.” The serious ones explore the mystery of love and sex. These include: “She Touched Me”, “Your Eyes” and “Woman Goddess Girl”.
The funny poems will brighten your day with their lighthearted humor and clever banter. The serious poems will touch your heart and move your emotions to a very deep level.
There are also several essays about the nature of poetry including ”What Makes a Poem a Poem?”, “Why Do People Write Poems?” and “Understanding Modern Poetry.” In addition, there are four prayers on various topics including a “Prayer For Emotional Healing’’ and a “Prayer to Lose Weight”.
Finally, for those who speak French, there are six poems in French at the end of the book.
This book has something for everybody. Treat yourself and enjoy!

“Wounded Bird” Is the name of a poem I wrote in 2007. It tells the story of a bird with fractured wings who tries to fly. Thanks to the love and support of his family and friends, he is able to overcome his fears and fly again.
“Cat Got Your Tongue” is the name of a poem I wrote several years ago. I never owned a cat, but I tried to capture all the unique things about cats that make people love them. “What’s the Matter? Cat Got Your Tongue?”
